If you purchase one of his book you have the all. All he does is change the words to addiction. He got me because I had to purchase as a textbook, but don't recommend if you already have one of his treatment plan books.
I hate charting and this book makes my life so much easier. It breaks down each goal and give you tons objectives and interventions for each to chose from. What a great resource.
Huge book the size of Manhattan phone book. Lots of ideas for many combinations of diagnoses. I am both a MH and SA counselor. Treatment plans are the bane of my existence. This helps a lot!!! Pricey but worth every penny.
Especially if you're working with Medicaid and Medicare audits. They simplify the treatment planning process and have even given us some new ideas for working with our clients.
As everyone working in behavioral health knows, treatment plans are a drag. They're even a drag for those who say treatment plans are helpful. Beware of those folks. Nevertheless, this book makes the process easy, particularly when your hospital-based mill operation is constantly berating you to be timely with treatment plan updates. The problem descriptions, goals, objectives, and interventions are all in the book. I usually tweak them a bit to more fit the client's issues. The plan items referencing 12-step concepts are a bit bogus, as the 12-steps are not intended for treatment, but support. The reality, though, is the steps are ubiquitous in the addiction treatment field, so the authors' inclusion of 12-step terms is simply reflecting that fact.
