Great Coffee Table Book! A great conversation piece with many beautiful pictures and great historical data on the great mansion in Washington D.C.

Excellent. Especially interesting for kids during this presidential fiasco.

good detail and description

Not happy because it is not the latest version of the White House that is being sold in the Smithsonian, 2009. It has a few fold-out pictures, which did little to give panoramic views. I also hoped there would be bigger photos of the paintings of the US Presidents, including the First Ladies, instead of the postage stamp size paintings in the back of the book.Also would have liked more emphasis on landscape and still life paintings and statuary in the White House.The newer version in the Smithsonian was what I really wanted and still do. Guess one cannot purchase the current White House book anywhere but the Smithsonian. The Covers are almost identical, so I feel I was misled.

My husband and I gave this to our 11 year grandson for him to remember the trip we took to DC in 2009. He loved the book and wants to take it to school to share. The book has beautiful illustrations.

While I thought the book would “spill some tea,” give some behind camera “goods” re: The View; instead what I got was a book where nearly every 3rd word is God filled between with her 30-something year-old “grand wisdom”🙄, most of which sounds like she took notes during a lot of personal therapy sessions! Save your money, or buy a (new) bible!

I grew up watching Elisabeth on The View, so when she was releasing a book that wasn't about being gluten-free, I was all for it. The book provides an epic depiction of getting over the bumps in the road that life throws at you. From playing softball at Boston College and riding the bench every game, to debating Joy Behar every day on The View, Elisabeth chronicles how her faith in God has gotten her through it all. Whether you're a Christian or not, I'd highly recommend this book if you're looking for something to read that will brighten your day!

With captivating storytelling and priceless wisdom, Elisabeth extends a warm and generous invitation into the fascinating life she’s lived and the God she loves. She is stunningly honest and raw about her successes AND her failures. You will finish this book feeling like you've gained a new friend. I loved her the best on the View etc....but it is not a tell all. It tells very little on a personal level and about the view etc or Fox and Friends or Survivor......It is a great book about trusting and living your life trusting God...if I was raising my four kids all over again I would love this book!

I was challenged relating this psalm to the scattered story. Just didn't get it. My thoughts were the writer needs to practice polishing his thought process and style.

Difficult to follow along first half of book....

Quick read but very good. Neat symbolism to the Psalm. Enjoyed notes at end. Cool twist to view 23 Psalm in this manor.

I read a LOT of fantasy/sci fi books so I have a tendency to pre-judge a book by the first few paragraphs. In this case, that was a good thing because once I started reading I was intrigued. I knew it was a fictional interpretation of Psalm 23 so right at the beginning I was trying to figure out who/what the Hunter represented, who was the little boy, and in doing that it made me think more about the actual Psalm itself. I wasn't just reading a story I was re-learning and gaining a deeper understanding of one of the most famous Psalms of all time.The Hunter evoked odd feelings in me...I wanted to like him, I wanted to feel like he was the 'hero' of the story yet with every action he took I felt more and more like he was going down the wrong path and I wanted to stop him and turn him around. So kudos to the author for getting me to feel a personal and meaningful connection with the character. His trials and errors were all the more real for me.I have to admit that at first I thought that perhaps the small boy was a younger version of the Hunter that he just didn't remember but it didn't take long to figure out who he really was and showing Him this way was masterful.The story was amazing, enthralling, and so wonderfully woven together that I didn't want to stop once I started.I am so glad the author chose to add The Bible Study and the Stories Symbolism Explained at the end because they brought even more meaning to the story and in some cases showed me things I hadn't quite caught, or had interpreted differently.Again KUDOS on an amazing work of Christian Fiction.
